METHOD OF PRODUCING METAL NANOPARTICLE AND DISPERSION OF METAL NANOPARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing metal nanoparticles and dispersion of metal nanoparticl by which the metal nanoparticles can simply and easily be obtained. SOLUTION: A solution containing at least one kind of metal ion and a protective agent-containing solution composed of organic molecules are dropped into a solvent being a reaction system. The metal ion is reduced to produce metal nanoparticles protected with the organic molecules. Thus, the affinity between the metal nanoparticles protected with the protective agent and the solvent is reduced, and the metal nanoparticles protected with the protective agent are settled as an aggregate so as to be recovered. The metal nanoparticle aggregate of high purity can continuously be recovered so that the concentration of the metal ion in the reaction system does not excess. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
