PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for conveying an optical element, which can hold the element even when the shape is largely changed between the element stock materials before molding and the optical elements after molding. SOLUTION: The device is provided with the 1st holding means 1 for holding an optical element stock material A before molding, the 2nd holding means 4 for holding an optical element after molding, a transportation means for transporting the 1st holding means 1 and the 2nd holding means 2 from a pallet on which the optical element stock material A is placed to a molding device for molding the optical element stock material A, and a switching means 6 for switching the use of the 1st holding means 1 and the 2nd holding means 2 upon holding the optical element stock material A or the optical element after molding in accordance with a shape of the optical element stock material A or the optical element after molding.
