<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: when a LED is disposed in a lamp chamber in a conventional vehicular lighting fixture, an environmental temperature rises due to heat in the lamp chamber and light emitting performance is deteriorated, since there is no means to dissipate heat in the lamp chamber to the outside. <P>SOLUTION: A lamp unit 5 having the LED as a light source and a cooling means 6 are disposed in the lamp chamber 2. The cooling means has a body 12 comprising a material with high thermal conductivity and forming a hollow box shape. An air inlet 13 is provided on one side of the body 12, and an air outlet 14 is provided on the other side of the body 12. Cooling action is carried our by the air flowing in from the air inlet 13, passing through the body 12, and flowing out from the air outlet 14. Thereby, since the environmental temperature of the LED in the lamp chamber 2 can be kept low, high light emitting performance of the LED can be secured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
