摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new lactic acid bacterium that is stably fixed in the human intestines and has excellent physiological activity and a use thereof.

SOLUTION: The bacterium such as Pediococcus pentosaceus EROM101 (KCCM-10517) belonging to the genus Pediococcus is, in more detail, derived from the human intestines and has immunopotentiating, anticancer and antibacterial activities and its use is obtained. Since Pediococcus pentosaceus EROM101 has excellent immunopotentiating activity through macrophage/splenocyte activation and intestinal tract immune activity induction or anticancer and antibacterial activities, it is variously useful for producing a food additive, a medicine for controlling intestinal function, a live bacterium agent, a feed additive and other fermented products including an immunopotentiator, an anticancer agent and an antimicrobial agent.
