<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens unit which reduces damage to an optical disk surface even at the collision while reducing possibility of collision against the optical disk. <P>SOLUTION: A sheet-shaped protecting member 40 is stuck on an annular projection part 24 along its upper end plane 24a. The protecting member 40 is composed of a foamed material in which an elastic material such as rubber and a resin material are foamed, for example, it is fixed on the projection part 24 utilizing adhesive composed of photo-setting resin or the like. Thus, when the protecting member 40 is formed of a foamed material having elasticity, sufficient elasticity deformation quantity can be secured even if it is thinned extremely. Hence, even when collision of an objective lens unit 10 against an optical disk OD is not prevented by a focus servo of the objective lens unit 10, since collision stress can be absorbed sufficiently by the protecting member 40 as a damper, damage to the surface of the optical disk OD is prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
