<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery superior in output performance and excellent in charge and discharge cycle characteristics, and to provide its negative electrode material. <P>SOLUTION: This is the lithium secondary battery which has a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a non-aqueous electrolytic solution containing lithium salt, and a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode.
