PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct display capable of grasping easily a route and a required time. SOLUTION: This navigation system for searching the route up to a destination has a searching means (CPU 1) for searching the route up to the destination, a generation means (CPU 11) for generating a schematic diagram of the route acquired by the searching means, a calculation means (CPU 11) for calculating the required time necessary for passing each section constituting the schematic diagram of the route generated by the generation means, and a display means (CPU 11, video circuit 15) for forming information in response to the required time in the each section calculated by the calculation means into design to be displayed along the each section in the schematic diagram generated by the generation means.
