PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscopic apparatus for presenting an efficient observation environment without requiring a user to perform another operation. SOLUTION: Regarding the microscopic apparatus with a plurality of objective lenses, the apparatus is provided with an X-Y stage to which a sample is fixed, an X-Y stage control means for controlling the X-Y directions of the X-Y stage and an X-Y stage operating means, and the X-Y stage control means comprises a plurality of methods for driving the X-Y stage in accordance with the input of the X-Y stage operating means, and one driving method is selected in accordance with the magnification of the objective lens.
