PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball screw mechanism capable of surely attaching a piece at a low cost, and to provide an electric power steering device using the same. SOLUTION: In the ball screw mechanism, the fact that a slave member 39 encloses the outer peripheral surface of a nut 45 is utilized to form a protruding part 43a between the slave member 39 and a piece 43. Thus, the elastic force of the protruding part 43a energizes inward the piece 43 in the radial direction of the nut 45 against the slave member 39, and the piece 43 is surely fitted with a simple and low-cost configuration.
