[PROBLEMS] To continuously produce a soymilk or soybean paste giving a pleasant sense of taste. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] Water is added to soybean powder, and kneaded to thereby obtain a mass of kneaded soybean. Water content thereof is regulated, and the kneaded soybean mass is pressurized to a given value (<=50 KG/CM<2>) and agitated. The soybean solid contents of the kneaded soybean mass are subjected to smoothing treatment, and the pressurized kneaded soybean mass is rapidly depressurized under atmospheric pressure. The above smoothing treatment can be performed by passing the kneaded soybean mass through a multiplicity of minute holes disposed in the flow channel for the kneaded soybean mass.
