<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a path calculation method for designing a network wherein a superordinate layer can reliably be restored even on the occurrence of a fault in a subordinate layer link while enhancing a traffic accommodation efficiency in the network wherein one or more user groups exist. <P>SOLUTION: The path calculation method is used for the network wherein at least two routers having functions of traffic transfer or the like and connected to switches of the subordinate layers and a plurality of user groups exist in the network having the superordinate and subordinate layers. Paths are set wherein prescribed information of the superordinate layer for only users belonging to an objective user group is taken into account, the traffic accommodation efficiency is excellent only between users belonging to the same user group on the basis of the information, any layer existing in the network copes with a fault by any method on the occurrence of the fault in the subordinate layer and the superordinate layer can reliably be restored. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
