PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of quickly and simply providing an output of an album print on the basis of a layout desired by a user by using a template. SOLUTION: The photoprinting apparatus comprises: a printout section for outputting the album print wherein a plurality of photograph frame images are formed on a single photoprint; a layout setting section (43) of setting the layout of a frame on which the photograph frame images are laid out on the basis of template data; and an album print edit section (46a) for managing production of album print data on the basis of the layout. The photoprinting apparatus also includes a code interpretation section (42) that applies two-dimensional coding to the template data, interprets a read signal resulting from reading the generated two-dimensional code with a scanner and reproduces the template data, and gives reproduced template data to a layout setting section, thereby setting a particular layout.
