PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent data leakage when a nonvolatile memory is used as a cache memory and the cache memory is removed from a device. SOLUTION: A storage control device 100, which reads/writes data from/into a hard disk in response to a data input/output request, is provided with a circuit board having the nonvolatile memory 131 functioning as the cache memory 130 storing data for reading/writing from/into the hard disk, and a circuit board insertion part to which the circuit board is detachably attached. The circuit board is provided with a removal information output circuit for outputting circuit board removal information indicating that the circuit board has been removed from the circuit board insertion part, and a data erase circuit which erases data stored in the nonvolatile memory 131 if the circuit board removal information is outputted from the removal information output circuit.
