<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for differentiating acute myeloid leukemia (de novo AML) from a leukemic myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) by certainly detecting the MDS or the leukemic MDS difficult to be certainly detected by various conventional inspection means. <P>SOLUTION: MDS or leucomic MDS a diagnosed by detecting the presence of CD45 negative blast cells being a cell group specific to MDS to be identified as de novo AML.
