PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus in which a labor can be saved when setting and inputting an image reading operation. SOLUTION: Image reading jobs which are inputted to an operating section by image reading operations, are stored in a job storage memory and when an image reading job to be called from the job storage memory is designated by the operating section (S13), a control section calls this designated image reading job from the job storage memory (S14) and carries out an image reading operation based on the called image reading job (S17). Thus, only by designating a desired image reading job using the operating section, a user can carry out an image reading operation based on desired operation setting even without detailed operation setting of the image reading operation.
