PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portal site providing system capable of reducing a man-hour for retrieval and for opening many pages on a user side, in a WWW site providing information through the Internet, and dispensing with the construction of an application on a site provider side. SOLUTION: This portal site providing system comprises a plurality of WWW sites and user terminals connected to the Internet through a communication line; an HTTP processor accepting a request of HTTP from a user terminal and responding thereto; a user information management device performing the authentication of a user based on user information; a site information management device acquiring information for acquiring a page from the information of WWW sites; a page generation device accessing a WWW site through the HTTP processor and the Internet to acquire a specified page and reconfiguring a new page based on the information of the acquired page; and a data storage part storing the user information, the site information, and page layout information.
