PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for waste oil disposal in a petroleum refining process, in which fuel for an atmospheric distillation column can be reduced, so that energy can be saved as well as carbon dioxide emission can be reduced. SOLUTION: The petroleum refining process comprises separating crude oil to bottom oil and at least one fraction, and then further treating the fraction and the bottom oil in a treatment apparatus arranged downstream of the atmospheric distillation column. The method for waste oil disposal for disposing of slop oil produced in the petroleum refining process comprises the steps of delivering bottom slop oil produced in a bottom oil treatment process to treat the bottom oil into the atmospheric distillation column together with crude oil, and recycling light slop oil produced in a light fraction treatment process to treat the fraction as a raw material for the bottom oil treatment process or a light fraction treatment process.
