The present invention provides a rubber composition for a base tread, which improves balance in low heat generating properties and steering stability, and a pneumatic tire using the same. Specifically, the present invention provides a rubber composition for a base tread of a tire comprising 5 to 120 parts by weight of a laminated natural mineral having aspect ratio of 3 to 30 and average particle size of 2 to 30 mu m, based on 100 parts by weight of a diene rubber component, and a pneumatic tire having a base tread comprising the rubber composition. |
