A front structure (10) for a vehicle includes a wiper device (30), which is capable of moving downward when receiving an impact load externally. At least part of the wiper device is accommodated in a front cowl (12). The front cowl has a bottom wall (20) located below the wiper device. The bottom wall has an opening (22). The opening has a size that is sufficient for permitting at least part of the wiper device to pass through. The opening is closed by a lid (24). When the wiper device moves downward, the lid deforms or breaks to open the opening so that at least part of the wiper device is permitted through the opening. Therefore, an impact load applied to the wiper device is reduced in a suitable manner. <IMAGE> |
