The driver assist system to support the lane holding of a motor vehicle has a facility whereby the determining of the onset of a hazardous situation takes place through two types of recording, whereby with one of the types of recording the onset of the hazardous situation is recorded in dependence upon the remaining time until the onset of the hazardous situation, and with the other type of recording the onset of the hazardous situation is in dependence upon the remaining side distance to the place of the hazardous situation. An independent claim is included for a device for the operating of a driver assist system to support lane holding of a motor vehicle. |
