The present invention relates to a beacon used as a guiding device, especially for road traffic wherein the inventive beacon comprises a top member provided with a warning or indication sign. This top member is of a flip type, which allows it to be run over by a vehicle. A first snap-on position keeps the top member in an upright position and a second snap-on position locks the top member in a flipped state. The lower end of this top member can be attached to a bearing plate or directly to a roadway surface by means of a pair of pivot joints (2). Each pivot joint (2) is provided with a spring-loaded snap-on device. Elements (10, 11) of the snap-on device are located in corresponding recesses (14) of parts of said pivot joint (2). |
