PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct an image so that exposure of an area in the image such as a major object is proper. SOLUTION: A histogram is generated by using an entire image for an object shown in Figure (a), a lookup table is generated on the basis thereof, a histogram is generated by using a mask area specified by mask information shown in Figure (b) for an object in the entire image, a lookup table is generated thereof, and the entire image is corrected according to both the lookup tables so as to make the exposure of the mask area proper. |
