PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict the sensitivity to the subject therapeutic agent by analyzing the genetic polymorphisms of a vitamin D receptor gene, an estrogen receptor gene and an apolipoprotein E gene from a genomic DNA contained in a human sample. SOLUTION: The respective genetic polymorphisms of a vitamin D receptor gene, an estrogen receptor gene and an apolipoprotein E gene are analyzed from a genomic DNA contained in a sample collected from a human and a prediction that the sample is derived from an individual exhibiting specific priority in sensitivity to plural therapeutic agents for osteoporosis such as vitamin D, estrogen and vitamin K2, etc., can be made based on the combination of the genetic polymorphisms to thereby predict what therapeutic agents for the osteoporosis have the highest therapeutic effects on the object patient before administration. Thereby, the proper medicinal agent can be selected and the sensitivity to the medicinal agent for the osteoporosis is predicted in order to improve the quality of life(QOL) of the patient. |
