The cutting device trends the top-bottom and opening edges of a printed product (3). The printed product is transported in a closed clamp of a feed device (2) through the cutting region of a cutting mechanism (5, 7, 8). The feed device is in the form of a feed rotor. Clamps are open to issue the printed product at an issuing point after trimming by the cutting device.
