The unit has a localization control module (2) connected to a mobile terminal (1) by a user. The module has a unit (8) to provide or not to provide localization information of the terminal to user applications (5). A switching unit (7) allows to disconnect the module from the terminal in STOP position, when the user does not desire that his localization be known. The module is detachable from the terminal.
