Class 100(4) An ink-ribbon 2 includes a strip of adhesive de-inking tape 4 of the same width as the ribbon 2 and has its adhesive surface attached to the outer face of the ribbon. the tape 4 acting to absorb substantially all the ink from the underlying portion of the ribbon. The tape 4 may consist of latex rubber and extend beyond the end of the ribbon and have an outer surface of crepe paper. It may extend over and additionally secure a transverse rubber bar 3 which is used to actuate a ribbon reversing mechanism. |
