The invention relates to a drive of a cylinder or equivalent (10) in a paper or board machine, in which the main gear wheel (21) driving the cylinder shaft (22) and centrally mounted in relation thereto is rotably mounted with bearings to the casing body (R) and connected to the shaft via a gear coupling.
