<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily identify the original of printed matter and its duplication by determining the presence of a moire pattern in both cases that a discriminating tool is stacked on printed matter and that the discriminating tool is stacked on the duplication of printed matter to distinguish between the printed matter and the duplication. SOLUTION: An identification area 5 is provided on printed matter 1. In the discrimination area 5, cyan, magenta and yellow dots are regularly arranged with a reference line. An discriminating tool 3 has a transparent area and a concealing area. The concealing area is provided in such a manner that only a specific color pattern in the discrimination area 5 of the printed matter 1 is concealed. If the discriminating tool 3 is placed on the printed matter 1, the color pattern in the discrimination area 5 is unbalanced to generate a moire pattern. Further, if the discriminating tool 3 is placed on a duplication in lieu of the printed matter 1, the moire pattern does not appear. Thus it is possible to easily distinguish between the original of the printed matter 1 and the duplication.</p> |
