<p>An improved urethane acrylate gel coat resin, its method of manufacture, and its use in gel coat compositions are disclosed. The urethane acrylate gel coat resin contains terminal acrylate moieties and is the reaction product of an oligoester of weight average molecular weight about 200 to about 4000, a diisocyanate, and a hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate. The gel coat resin is used in gel coat compositions that exhibit good weatherability and color stability after cure.</p> |
