The device (1) is particularly for lifting a piano and has two load forks which extend under a piano. The forks are moved upwards by a lifting mechanism, which is formed with cables or chains. The two load forks (6,7) are fixed to a movable subframe (3), which is provided with adjustable guide devices. By tilting the lifting device over two wheels (11,12) the whole assembly is mobile. In a special version, a third wheel is incorporated which when the lifting device is further tilted reaches to the ground. In this manner, the lifting device can transport a piano over a short distance. |
