The present invention relates to a ring seal for between a Hosting roof (12) and a side wall in a liquid and vapor storage tank (10). The ring seal includes a number of overlapping shoe plates (27) hung from the floating roof by pantograph hanger assemblies (22). The pantograph hanger assemblies urge the shoe plates against the side wall and a gap seal prevents tank vapor loss along a lap joint (302) between adjoining shoe plates.
