SWITCHING DEVICE FOR MAINS

The proposed switching device can be used in 6 ... 10 kV high-voltage mains and is designed for disconnecting power consumers at short circuits, insulation faults, or operation of protecting devices. The device contains a high-voltage switch and a contactor. The contactor is inserted between the high-voltage switch and the mains line. The switch and the contactor are installed in the cabinet of the switchgear or at the pull-out carriage of the metalclad substation. The present invention provides a possibility to increase the service life of the switching device.
