METHOD FOR EVALUATION OF EFFICIENCY OF PROCESS LUBRICANTS

A method for evaluation of efficiency of process lubricants consists in the deformation in the die of the billets of the same weight and dimensions with application of different process lubricants for each billet, their withdrawal from the die and the determination of the efficiency of used process lubricants on the basis of results of measuring the dimensions of forging piece. The perimeter of forging piece or the perimeter of the fin of uncut is used as the parameter of forging piece subject to control. The greater value of perimeter means more effective lubricant.
