The plunger line has a plunger (5) guided in a steering gear box (2) and supported on a steering rack (4). A valve (10) is inserted in a tubular part of the box. A notch (11) delimiting a sharp cutting edge and a withdrawal edge of a lock washer (8), is formed on a peripheral zone (8b) of the washer. An inclination of the zone increases progressively from the cutting edge till the withdrawal edge.
