PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of reducing a wind noise signal in a surround microphone comprising two single-directivity microphones and a single dual-directivity microphone. SOLUTION: The wind noise reduction apparatus includes: a first subtraction means for subtracting an output signal of a second single-directivity microphone from an output signal from a first single-directivity microphone; a second subtraction means for subtracting an output signal from the first or second single-directivity microphone from an output signal from a dual-directivity microphone; a judgment means for comparing a voltage resulting from attenuating an output signal from the first subtraction means by a prescribed amount and rectifying the attenuated signal with a voltage resulting from rectifying an output signal from the second subtraction means to provide an output of a result of the comparison; and a mixing means that sums output signals from the first and second single-directivity microphones, passes the sum signal as such when the judgment means judges the absence of wind noise, switches a path of the sum signal to pass through a notch filter when the judgment means judges the presence of wind noise and mixes the sum signal with a surround signal comprising the signals from the first and second single-directivity microphones and the dual-directivity microphone.
