PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus and a communication method capable of managing a link key for security management of wireless data communication in order to enhance the convenience of a user. SOLUTION: A wireless communication I/F control section 102 stores a prescribed number of link keys for authentication in the case of starting wireless communication by apparatuses being objects of the wireless communication and places the priority in response to a communication state on a plurality of the apparatuses being the objects of the wireless communication.
