PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multimode communication device by which a user automatically executes efficient transmission of an e-mail including various information without being conscious of individual communication systems. SOLUTION: Information indicating the suitability of transmission data to each communication system is set to a determining part 161. When there is a currently usable communication system with the suitability exceeding a prescribed value from the relationship between the currently usable communication system and the suitability, transmission is executed with the communication system. While, when there is no currently usable communication system with the suitability exceeding the prescribed value, transmission is executed after holding the data in a storage 140 until a usable communication system appears with the suitability exceeding the prescribed value.
