摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate efficiently the azimuth of a transmitting end without lowering accuracy by utilizing all branches effectively, in a method for estimating the arrival direction of a wave signal from the transmitting end common to the plurality of branches arranged on each of a plurality of sites or the position of the transmitting end. SOLUTION: This method is constituted as follows: a vector for showing the assembly of the wave signals arriving from the transmitting end common to the plurality of branches installed individually on the plurality of sites is determined; processing for correcting an error supplementary to phases of the wave signals arriving actually from the transmitting end in each of the plurality of branches and determined to the arrangement of the branches and each direction wherein the transmitting end may be positioned is applied to the vector to thereby determine a correction vector; and the azimuth of the transmitting end is estimated as the direction having the maximum correlation between a correction mode vector for showing the assembly of the wave signals arriving from the transmitting end at all the plurality of branches and the correction vector from among the directions wherein the transmitting end may be positioned.
