PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoplastic saturated norbornene-based resin film, optical film, polarizer protection film, retardation plate and polarizing plate that are hardly damaged and yet have high optical properties. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic saturated norbornene-based resin film comprises 0.1-100 parts wt. of a layered silicate based on 100 parts wt. of a thermoplastic saturated norbornene-based resin and has≥6B pencil hardness measured by a method according to JIS K 5400 and≥87% parallel light transmittance.
