<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically push out a process unit from an equipment body, when a developer is replaced. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus, having an opening/closing door which is opened and closed when the replaceable image forming process unit is replaced, is equipped with a detecting means 20 of detecting, when the image forming process unit 6 needs to be replaced; a push-out means 21 of pushing the image forming process unit in a loaded state out of the equipment body; and a control part 40 which makes the push-out means 21 perform the push-out operation, based on the detection result of the detecting means 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
