<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological member composed of alumina ceramic with improved Mg dispersibility and to provide a method for manufacture thereof. <P>SOLUTION: This biological member uses the alumina ceramic which contains Mg, when the area of the alumina ceramic is analyzed by an electron probe microanalyzer, an Mg aggregation area and non aggregation area adjoining to the aggregation area are observed; and when the Mg concentration in the aggregation area is set to C<SB>1</SB>, the Mg concentration in the non-aggregation area is set to C<SB>2</SB>, and the diameter in converting the area of the aggregation area into a circle is set to R, there are five or less aggregation areas satisfying C<SB>1</SB>/C<SB>2</SB>≥2 and R≥5 μm in a measurement area of 0.05 mm<SP>2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
