<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the smooth movement of a sleeve by exercising uniform elastic force of elastic members over a front surface of the sleeve in the circumferential direction, to press all slip-off preventing balls against an outer surface of a pipe with substantially uniform force so as to surely stably obtain the predetermined slip-off preventing function. <P>SOLUTION: A pipe joint includes a stopping mechanism in which the sleeve and the slip-off preventing balls held in the sleeve are arranged between a joint main body and the pipe and the sleeve is moved outward in the radial direction to thereby press the slip-off preventing balls against the outer surface of the pipe through a taper face formed on an inner surface of the joint main body, the diameter of which becomes larger at a deeper side, so as to prevent the pipe from slipping off. In the pipe joint, a plurality of elastic members are provided between the joint main body and a flange formed at one end of the sleeve, and an outer ring for controlling the movement of the sleeve is arranged on the outside of the sleeve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
