PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission module in which the temperature rise of a light emitting element is suppressed and whose assembly is facilitated without deteriorating a high frequency characteristic. SOLUTION: The optical transmission module is provided with a light emitting element module 22 having at least the light emitting element 1, a first lead terminal 17 which is conductively connected to the light emitting element and in which driving current driving the light emitting element flows, and a second lead terminal 18 which is conductively connected to the light emitting element and drops driving current supplied to the light emitting element to ground; a circuit board 15 provided with a current supply pattern 19 which is conductively connected to the first lead terminal, and a ground pattern 19 which is conductively connected to the second lead terminal; IC for driving light emitting element 16 which supplies driving current to the light emitting element through the current supply pattern and the first lead terminal; and a cabinet 14 mounting the circuit board mounting the light emitting module and IC for driving light emitting element.
