PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a mobile terminal device to easily participate in a peer-to-peer communication network system without becoming the bottleneck of a network. SOLUTION: In the peer-to-peer network system in which a plurality of peers 2 and 3 are connected to the network and perform a file exchange by peer-to-peer communication, a relay peer for a cellular phone 6 (peer A) is set as the peer 3, a relay peer of a cellular phone 7 (peer B) is set as the peer 2, the peer 3 substitutes for the peer A to perform the file exchange, and the peer 2 substitutes for the peer B to perform the file exchange.
