PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device, having an element whose leakage current is small. SOLUTION: The electro-optical device has a light-emitting element having a light emission layer which is laminated on a substrate and emits light, a drive element which is an element for driving the light-emitting element and provided between the substrate and light-emitting layer and has a semiconductor layer, a 1st light-shielding layer which is provided between the drive element and light emission layer and blocks light incident on the semiconductor layer, and a 2nd light-shielding layer which is provided, at least partially, nearly in parallel to or oblique with respect to the laminating direction of the light-emitting layer and blocks the light incident on the drive element.
