PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner excellent in durability and fixability. SOLUTION: The toner contains aggregation particles having resin particle agglomerates. The resin particle agglomerates included in the aggregation particles have a shape obtained by fusing resin particles to each other or bringing resin particles into contact with each other with boundary surfaces, and the toner has a network structure in which the resin particle agglomerates combine with each other only at surfaces. The boundary surfaces are combined through a network forming agent and this network forming agent exists locally on the boundary surfaces. Such a toner is prepared by preparing resin particles using a monomer having a functional group such as a carboxyl group or an epoxy group, and by bonding functional groups in the resin particles to each other through a network forming agent such as a crosslinking agent, a reactive monomer, a reactive polymer, a polymerizing agent, an auxiliary polymerizing agent or a polymerization initiator.
