PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display and illumination device for an elevator without light unevenness or reflection of a light source. SOLUTION: The display and illumination device of the elevator is equipped with a triangular light guide 8 having transparency whose slope part is subjected to a dot pattern printing 7, a light source 6 installed at a shorter edge of the triangular light guide 8, a display plate and an illumination plate 5 installed at the longer edge of the triangular light guide 8 and allowing the light from the light source 6 to be luminous uniformly owing to the dot pattern printing 7 on the triangular light guide 8, and an illuminating frame 9 to cover the slope of the triangular light guide 8 and the oversurface of the light source 6.
