PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system providing an image with an excellent quality by correcting dispersion in an amplification factor. SOLUTION: A processor 5 to be connected with an endoscope 2 incorporating a CCD 16 varying sensitivity impresses a sensitivity control signal to the CCD 16 along with a CCD driving signal, an amplification factor calculation circuit 37 calculates an amplification factor of each pixel and the minimum amplification factor via a switch SW based on the CCD output signal outputted from the CCD 16 via a switch SW, a correction factor calculation circuit 38 calculates a correction factor, and the correction factor is stored in a memory 39. The correction factor stored in the memory 39 is multiplied by the CCD output signal and a correction circuit 34 to correct the dispersion in the amplification factor of each pixel into an excellent-quality signal with less dispersion and to be outputted to a signal processing circuit 35.
