PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excrement treating material for a pet, or the like, resistant to be spilled off from a vessel such as a litter box even if kicked by the pet, or the like, resistant to rolling even if spilled off from the box, free from scattering trouble, having excellent sanitariness, having excellent cleanability to enable easy cleaning, or the like, causing little irritation and damage on the sensible pad of the paw of the pet such as cat, and facilitating the customization of the excretion because of the excretion of the pet without reluctance and by the sense of playing with sand. SOLUTION: The excrement treating material for the pet, or the like, has a flat pellet form having a minor diameter of 4-6 mm, a major diameter of 6-10 mm and a length of 8-15 mm.
