<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell which is advantageous in suppressing penetration of fuel and oxidizer, making a long life of an electrolyte, and is advantageous for improving sealing performance. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell comprises a MEA 9 having an electrolyte formed of a proton conductor 4, a fuel electrode 3 provided on one side of the electrolyte, and an oxidizer electrode 1 provided on the other side of the electrolyte, a fuel distribution plate 12 for forming a fuel passage 11 for supplying fuel to the fuel electrode 3 of the MEA 9, and an oxidizer distribution plate 16 for forming an oxidizer passage 15 for supplying oxidizer to the oxidizer electrode 1 of the MEA 9. At least one internal electrode 2 is provided inside the electrolyte formed of the proton conductor 4 of the MEA 9. A conductive path 8 which electrically connects the oxidizer electrode 1 and the internal electrode 2 through the oxidizer distribution plate 16 is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
